Why we do what we do

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

Imagine a future where poverty and the struggles of individuals in Nigeria’s marginalized communities are significantly reduced. How about a society where youths and women are empowered and equipped with the awareness and skills to seize opportunities, harness their potential, and flourish? This is the image we envision at Lead for Good Africa.

We believe in the potential of the African continent, and we are convinced that investing in Africa’s people, is a key component required for the attainment of Africa’s collective prosperity.

We have witnessed the heartbreaking plight of women in marginalized communities, including widows with children, tirelessly striving to make ends meet in an increasingly challenging economy. We’ve also seen firsthand how young people in underserved communities lack the basic skills necessary to excel and make ends meet. The number of children who drop out of school, continues to increase at an alarming rate, with over 34% of young Nigerians unemployed as of 2023, according to recent statistics.

The weight of these difficulties has left many with a demeaning mentality, loss of hope, low self-esteem, an inability to apply themselves towards a productive future, with some turning to meaningless pursuits and a life of crime to get by.

Our commitment at Lead For Good Africa is to change this narrative by investing in people, and creating opportunities for economic advancement. As a leadership development and skill empowerment social enterprise, we are on a mission to tackle the challenge of poverty in Africa, through leadership development, capacity building and skill empowerment programs.

Our leadership development programs are designed to address the mindset limitations that hold back our youth, empowering them with the skills and capacity to recognize their untapped potential and navigate the abundant opportunities that await them. We also connect them to educational pathways that foster growth and ignite their aspirations.

On the other hand, our skill empowerment programs are designed to enable youths and women earn a living by creating solutions that address societal demands, thereby increasing their opportunities for economic advancement. These individuals in turn, go on to train other individuals within their communities to continue the cycle of empowerment.

However, we cannot do this alone. We need the support of individuals like you, who believe that Africa’s ruins can be restored one opportunity at a time.

We are currently setting up our first Skill Empowerment Center and we need your support to make this vision a reality.

With your kind donation, we can create a future where poverty is reduced, women are empowered, and young people thrive. Click here to support us

Let us embark on this transformative path together and build a brighter future for Nigeria and the continent of Africa.
